My question is a techincal issue with the videos. Most of the videos appear to just stop. Mid sentance. Mid word.

Is this normal? The lesson appears to be almost finished, but its like there is 10-20 seconds missing.

thanks

Hi Beth!

Just a quick note to thank you again for these series and also for the great flashcard resource. I did also look for the recommended apps (and even contacted one of the developers), but unfortunately they are presently for Apple devices only. I'm an Android user (at the moment), so I guess I'll have to borrow my wife's iPad every now and again. :-)

On a similar note, the Superstudies tutorials are great and I'll be incorporating them in my daily routine as well. I certainly won't run out of things to practice for a long while.

Thank you very much for catering to our needs.

If anyone wants a good practice book on double stops you might try Double Stop Studies by Richard Hofmann.
Some of these exercises look deceptively easy they are not in my opinion. I started the book about a year ago and am now about half way through the book.
Anyway, for what it's worth I think it is a good book.

Hi,
I have started violin lessons last September with a private teacher, and I learned only today through one of your tutorials that only the thumb of my left finger should be in permanent contact with the violin. I'm shocked!!! I've tried to play in this manner the simple tunes that I normally can play, and I feel like I have to start everything all over again!!!

Hi Beth,

I just thought I'd mention that I'm doing more revising (I love revisions, I learn so much each time!) and I'm noticing, with each video I've watched so far, that it cuts out right before the end and doesn't fully finish...

Just thought I'd point that out for you. Or is it just my computer? Or was there perhaps some sort of purpose?

Sean

Someone on Youtube shared this with me, and I was profoundly moved. Never underestimate the human spirit!!

Hi Beth, so say I was to use a "straight how simulator", made out of cardboard (wrapping paper cylinders), would it be bad for my bow in any sense? Precisely the hairs? If so, how can I make one without this happening?

Thanks, Sean.
