Dan Kobialka: part 1: Movement and Playing
Dr. Dan Kobialka, former Principal Second Violinist of San Francisco Symphony Orchestra gives a fascinating interview at the Violin Lab studio. In this segment, Kobialka talks about how his explorations in teaching violin lead him to work with Jack Albert Fracht, then with the protege of Moche Feldenkrais. He became fascinated with the "whole brain" approach to moving the body in a way that enhances the way we play the violin.
