Question to Diane, Hi Diane, in a vid I had posted earlier of that fiddle tune, you had suggested plucking a string with the fingers (finger pushups ?) 10 times a day. I'm not sure if you meant each finger only 10 times a day or.....all fingers-10 times a day. Thanks ! :-)

I would do each finger 10 times a day. You may feel a "twing" inside your finger when you release the string. You need to "twing" to train the finger but over doing it doesn't help either. In college my teacher had me doing Dounis exercises. They were crazy. One finger would be pizz., one a harmonic, one just held down, and the other one going up and down. I only did this 5 minutes a day. But it cut out 2 hours of my practicing! It was trashing my hand! I phased out this 5 minutes of practicing and the other 2 hours returned! I stopped the Dounis and hmmmm forgot to tell my teacher who somehow never noticed. Popping the strings with left hand pizz. for finger independence is a great exercise and now you know why I say "only 10 times a day"!
