Beth, I am so impressed with your Violin Lab. It is sky rocketing! There is something for everyone. The answers to all of our questions are there! I have learned so much. What's most encouraging is I have someone to go to when things aren't going just right. Learning to play the violin takes lots of time. It has been so helpful learning to play the violin in the privacy of my own home. Plus, it saves time not having to go to lessons. Lessons are so expensive, justifiably so, making it impossible for some people to take. So, thank you for making our dreams come true. Dyan oops, I should have put this on Facebook?!

I take private lessons but I recently joked to my husband that "Beth is now my teacher and Mrs. ___ is now my consultant"! :) Seriously, having this is a huge blessing - I am now approaching lessons in a much more independent manner. Instead of feeling like I've paid a knowledgable person to practice new pieces with me, I feel like I can go to places that I've already tried and need help with. Between this site, a new bow, lessons every other week, and more practice time, I'm starting to see some progress. At my next lesson, I plan to ask my teacher if she'll listen to me play thru Suzuki book 1 and critique the songs, my technique, etc.
