See 14:35. Now that's what I would like to be able to do- the double stops and fast runs. Those really spice up the improvisation.

I've seen that video before and it is really good. The problem I see for myself, is that the person is highly trained, so that it looks easier to do those embellishments than it really is for me. I'm still trying to get evenness in the left hand, and would have a while to go to be able to do the things that sound interesting at the end of this video.

Accord, accord and accord I heared in the video you linked. That means Harmony and its dry rules. There isn't any other way to improvising.

The "incident" wasn't as bad as it sounds. I think it was an over reaction and a misunderstanding combined. Life goes on :)

Hi Lesley,
I am not at liberty to play that vid link right now but I plan to do that. I found this in Fiddlerman. Jazz improvisation

I tend to go to fiddlerman  more since my incident at violinist.com . I still check that out occasionally as a place to look for info too.
