Raw Version - Ave Maria

This is an all can tell version of the Ave Maria by Bach / Gounod.

It is me alone - and this makes it really obvious - that playing with a piano also means that some unpleasant scratches and sounds just get drowned out.

There is one note that is completely out off the ball park. Please forgive.

And Elke - as you will see - there is enough to polish in this piece so that I can not get on to the building suspense suggestion made by you.

But that suggestion has planted a seed and makes me want to practice loud and soft playing on etudes once the recital has past.

Comments and suggestions welcome!!! Thank you

Dear Dianne

Thank you for your kind words and finding something good in my playing.

For me it was an excellent video to see what I need to focus on.

I have since practiced the piece jumbled up with 2 or 3 measures at a time. Some notes I can not do a clean start when playing vibrato. Especially the very first note. I now play vibrato not near the frog but from 1/4 into the bow. And Beth´s suggestion is bearing fruits.

Next Wednesday is the recital. I want to make another recording with solo violin before then to see the improvements I made since making this video.

Barb I hear some dynamics with this with change of sounding point. I enjoyed watching your shifting and change of sounding point as well. You have worked hard on this and it shows. Keep up the good work!
