I love this new Youtube video of Hillary Hahn. She's just a wonder. I got a kick out of the fact that she has to hack her shoulder rest like I do. She uses duck tape, I use rubber bands. That's about all we have in common :)

I watched this on instagram...

Thank you Elke for the longer version, was too tired to look for it in YT...

What fantabulous coordination they have!

Well....we all know they can play the violin.....I'm more amazed that they can keep the hoola going longer than 3 seconds...which is far more than I ever managed....  x-D

..love the shoulder rest....I had a Kun that I held together with packing tape and pen caps.     :-D

Happy playing !

Thanks, Elke!!!
Thatīs the kind of stuff only TwoSet comes up with.
I loved that!
And I was incredibly impressed with how much expression she still managed to play this.

Yes I agree with everything said here!  And also you both make it look easy!

Oh, yeah!
I love her too; she is a paragon for a lot of violinists out there, I imagine.

But you have more in common than you think.
I donīt believe Hahn could have reached that level of perfection without a methodical approach that rivals your own.
I heard she plays Bach daily since she was nine years old.

That is what I enjoy most in her playing JSB:
I donīt hear the legend, but the guy who loved life passionately enough to father 20 children, even though only ten of them grew into adulthood.

This video is the perfect example of that.

Thanks for the sweet comments, ya'll!
I learn from Hilary that humans apparently can play perfectly in tune. I'm going to keep trying to do that :)

Ok. she's good but I learn so much more from you. :-)

I like that she so obviously enjoys playing and performing. It really adds to the beauty of her music.  And nice dress!  The duct tape doesn't detract at all!  ;)

Here is one category you do not share with HH.  You offered one conceptual thought during a vibrato video that hit the nail on the head and changed everything.  HH  never did that for me.  She is wonderful to listen to, but you contribute to the joy in my life. Thank you for your passion of giving.

Thanks for posting the video featuring Hilary Hahn.  Hilary Hahn also has a running 1 minute video series on Instagram.  The focus is on practicing.  Check out#violincase
