Hi all, I'd like to invite you to be a virtual audience for me and a few friends. We are playing the first movement of the Dohnanyi Serenade for a benefit concert next weekend, and it would be so helpful to play it for some people before the gig. The concert is to benefit a fellow violinist who suffered a debilitating stroke and can no longer play. Needless to say the audience will be mostly our peers, which makes for the most nerve racking performance situation. Being able to play it for an audience beforehand will be so beneficial! Here is the official invitation from Zoom. the links probably won't work in this box, so you'll have to copy and paste the urls. Topic: Make us Nervous! Great Job Glad it went well. I enjoyed the trial run very much. It was great seeing the three of you perform, and at the same time I could hear enough of the piece to really enjoy it. The sound was rich and full- each of you playing out like a soloist, with lots of color and expression. |

You didn't miss too much. The audio is not at all optimal for playing music. I wish there was a good platform for that sort of thing. The performance went well, so thank you all who tuned in so I could practice being nervous. Indeed, I was nervous too. So many colleagues were there, but I think it went well. |

Big thanks to all of you who tuned in! That was very helpful!!! We haven't played serious trio music for years so it was a gentle way to get back into it. Sorry that the audio was so bad. I'll see what I can do about figuring out a better audio situation so we can open up more opportunity for performance. We recorded the piece after we need the meeting, but alas, the technology gods weren't smiling up on us and due to a weird software thing, we didn't get all of it recorded. Anyway, thank you again, dear virtual audience. |

Great! I'll be there! I am babysitting my granddaughter (31/2 yrs old) who loves music and has expressed interest in either piano or violin lessons, so she will be watching too! |
