Hi Beth,

thanks for including Libertango!

I hope, I will be able to play it one day, because I really love it.

Where is it in terms of levels?

Funny thing: even so I don't work at home, the restrictions on public life here are actually helpful to get in more practice time.

I'm a nurse and the public hospital corporation I work for asked who wanted to help out the colleagues in ICU.
Many people volunteered - so did I, that is why currently I have a Lot of learning to do (I work usually in psych).
Thankfully many hospitals in Berlin are still pretty empty, because most of the planned procedures are postponed to make room for the expected Covid19 patients as well as other emergencies, so there is still time to learn how to be an actually helpful assistant for ICU nurses.

However after a day of learning and the bike ride home there is really nothing better then playing the violin for an hour or so to forget the outside world for a while, calm down and reduce stress.

And maybe I even find the time to finally figure out, how to make practice videos and post them here ;-).

Stay healthy everyone,

Steph

Steph, I hope that the hospital doesn't fill up. I hope Berlin will be fortunate.

I wish I had the drive to pick up the violin as a pleasant escape. For me, at least part of it is more similar to eating a food I don't like. I find more solace in composition or creating.

I find that if I begin to play eventually I start to enjoy it.  There are aspects of learning the violin that can be frustrating for me at times.

Steph,
You are a brave and wonderful soul.  I visited Berlin a few years ago.  It was such an amazing and unforgettable place to visit.  May you all be safe and well.  I look forward to hearing your music.  I use music to destress and escape too.  Be safe!
