Hi Beth, Are the three finger spacing patterns that you have demonstrated so far the only finger spacing patterns for all major and minor scales? Thank you. Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, There are other spacing patterns which I refer to as variations of the three main ones. For instance, whole steps between all fingers is the 3rd spacing pattern with a raised 4th finger. If you were playing an F major scale, that would be the finger pattern for the E string.

This is a great question and it warrants a video. I've been formulating thoughts for a general tutorial on scale practice, and will include a discussion in finger spacing patterns.
