Yes, Stephen, the index finger and the pinky are the ones that give or take away pressure in the bow.

So, now that I can get my bowing arm to float by using my back muscles, am I correct that to vary the bowing pressure is simply a matter of varying the pressure between the index finger (for more pressure) and pinky (for less pressure)? In other words, I'm no longer going to use my arm to do that?

Since I am just beginning, I found this an amazing "aha" moment. It's as if my arm just floats in the direction of my leaning body, smoothly and consistently. Wow!
