Hi Beth and Fellow Students,

Day 02 of attempting to release tension in my left hand so that I am able to play low 2nd finger with good intonation.  I had great suggestions one of which was to bring my left elbow a little further to the left.  Another, raise the contact point between the left hand and the nut, and lastly to move the thumb around so that tension or pinching will not happen in the left hand.

So in this video I am trying out a couple of these very helpful suggestions.  I am executing them wrong please let me know.  Cheers.

Day  03 of focusing on releasing left-hand tension.  I can now feel when the thumb wants to tighten up and squeeze.  Especially when I practice harmonics for the low 2nd finger combination.

I have expanded the exercise of releasing the thumb when I work on finger taps.

Another observation is I need to relax both arms, wrists, and hands.

There is a lot of nice relaxation in your hand now. Your hand and elbow position look identical to Beth's. You have a nice movement of the low 2 to high two and back.
