Sonia, quite some time ago I made a Fingering Chart for All Keys (it is in the Resources section under Violin Practice and Performance with an accompanying video to explain how it works). I have not played much where I had to make those fingering decisions myself, but when I have to decide I use this chart to figure out what position would be most beneficial for a certain spot. |

Thank you Wow Beth, thank you so so much for the great response. It's really helped and given me direction to what I need to do. The tips on arm position are so useful because I feel my pinky is weak especially in upper positions, but now I can really work on that and developing my vibrato.I haven't look so far ahead, but are there any videos on interpretation, and how to select best bowing/fingering for a piece? Thanks again. Sonia |

Hi Sonia, it's great to meet you and hear you play for the first time! You play so well! Very impressive shifting technique. I can't find my copy of Schindler's List. I'd love to make you a response video. Would you be able to email me a copy of your part? |
