Hi,
I have been learning from Violin Lab videos for about an year now.
This is the first piece I practiced for its full duration.
I would really appreciate any comments you might have.

Currently I am mostly focusing on my bowing skills,
when I am really enjoying the music I lose control of the bow. Any suggestions?
Regarding the tempo, currently I am not focussing too much on that.
Also some people have commented that I use too much sliding, how often should I
actually use sliding?
Please leave as much feedback as possible.
I really appreciate your help!

Best,
Shashwat

Thank you so much Beth!
So this is what I am going to do now...
I'll record a piece each from Western Classical and Bollywood instrumental genre;
incorporating the changes you suggested and then post them to discussion.

I never realized Violin Lab could be such a great resource. Thank you so much!
Its because of you that I stand any chance of advancing with the Violin.

You and everyone else in the community is awesome!

I am not sure how long you have been playing?
If not long I applaud your full use of bow
It is hard to see your bow grip from the camera angle
You seem relaxed which is a very good thing. Thank you so much for posting

Hey, Shashwat, I was told that if you use the iphone's recorder it usually has a better quality in recording the sound than some camaras. I'm going to do that for my next video. Maybe it'll be of some help to you as well. Just say 1, 2, 3 and clap before recording both so you can sync sound and audio more easily if you like and have an iPhone, I wasn't told if the same could be done with an android phone, but who knows? Maybe!

Happy practicing!

Hello Shashwat, I enjoyed your interpretation of Sad Romance! I appreciate your opening the discussion about the frequent use of sliding shifts. I will respond with a video soon.

I was beckoned by the great bow/bow arm posture, it reminded me of a great Matador ...

I'm going to listen now and watch...
