Thank you so much Beth for the video response. It made so much sense.I will work on  getting my hand around more do some exercises like you suggested.I have a good amount of
Theory so I will Go through the piece and analyze it more looking at the arpeggios and playing section with chords and intervals and finger spacing in mind.I think I will use piano along with my violin as well in playing around with notes of chord.
Very much appreciated many thanks Madonna

Thank you all for taking time to write such kind comments and words of encouragement.
I have been concentrating for years on bowing.
Started with dvd that played slowly book 1 suzuki noticing my bowing was not same copying bowing of  the instructor. Then videos of suzuki seitz violin concertos with Yuko Honda purchased about 10 years ago playing along and copying her bowing .
The book by Robert Gerle called art of bowing practice that I read and reread
really started to make more  sense to me when I became a member of VL and started
watching and then practicing Beth's videos on bowing especially about distribution, straight
bow,and legato and sustained bow.
I still do bowing exercises.I am trying to concentrate on shifting if I could play every thing
in first position my tuning would not drive me crazy.
I do play along with Beth's videos a lot starting and stopping then copying  her, when I get
comfortable with piece or exercise I will play along with her.
My advice play with Beth's videos as much as possible!!
I would encourage everyone who is learning or practicing an instrument to have practice
schedule.I write down what I practice everyday been doing it all my life.I have set thing I
play  every practice and times for example I do virbato 5 minutes, shifting ex 4 min, practice and scale or two related to the  piece I am playing, some pieces I practice daily some
alternate days.Tunes  I know well play through a couple a day alternating days.
If you practice everyday or 2 times a week make a practice sheet, you can start with few
tech things and pieces then adjust or build on it as you need.It keep me organized and on
track instead of  jumping around which is normal.
I wrote quite a big response hope the info on my practicing habits help.I listen and enjoy all your videos, discussions and learn a lot.
Thanks Elke and Maria  I really needed that Beethoven quote was kind of angry at myself
for bad tuning.

Congratulations Madonna, very well done!  I can't wait to start practicing Meditation but I'm afraid it won't be anytime soon!

Love your celtic harp in the background!

I listened yes but the truth was I was mesmerized by the gracefulness of your bowing arm/hand...What a magnificent movement and bowing you have!

Whatever shortcomings you have was totally forgotten because you played it with all your heart...Just incredible and I was definitely moved!

Hi Madonna, I really enjoy watching your bow arm. I've commented before on your fantastic mode distribution. Since many of you have posted video this weekend, I'm going to try and shoot a bunch of responses this week. I'll share some thoughts with you on your Meditation.
