Thanks for the great comments!

My teacher also said that now it's time to start working on the details....actually she said that that's where we should've started :)

I just like to first commit whole piece into memory and then start to work on it...but maybe that's not the best way to go. Bad habbits have time to settle in before digging into the difficult spots.

That's a good idea to create a 'Blackerby' edition of Meditation :)

I first had sheet music with minimal markings so I had to watch videos to figure out what fingerings people use. Then I found quite good edition which has fingerings and all and my playing is now a bit of mix of what I first learnt and this second edition. And true, In some places, I really haven't decided how I should play.

When there's some progress to show, I'll post again for comments. Propably in smaller pieces, though.

Thank you for the video response to Tomi's video post.  I had my note pad out.  One of the many points for me to remember, which I will be able to use, is the notes on the first note played.  Like most things, first impressions or the first note sets up the rest of the piece.  I will be using those ideas with the first note of Ave Maria.

the tilting toward you on G String and the notes on bowing speed at the frog, as well as the spacing the note values across the bow are very helpful outside this piece.
